The SGH Rector’s Cup Football Tournament is a prestigious sporting event organized annually by the SGH Physical Education and Sport. This year marks the 26th edition of one of the most recognizable sporting events in the SGH calendar.
The current edition is held as part of the University’s 120th anniversary celebrations. As every year, its aim is to integrate the SGH academic community and promote physical activity and a spirit of competition in a friendly atmosphere.
The tournament provides a unique opportunity for students, alumni, and academic as well as administrative staff to meet on the football pitch – beyond the walls of lecture halls.
A distinctive feature of the tournament is its charitable purpose: proceeds from the event and fundraising activities conducted during the matches will support a selected child with a disability. In this way, sporting excitement goes hand in hand with tangible assistance, allowing participants and supporters to contribute together to a meaningful cause.
Matches will be played in a knockout format and overseen by a refereeing team. The event is supported by volunteers from the AZS SGH University Club.

The event is held as part of the SGH 120th anniversary celebrations.
